The Label Shanti Records set off to distribute world music, ehtno beats, music for meditation,
ambient and chill out music in the year 2002.

The word Shanti means Peace.
The idea of Shanti Records is, to provide music for inner and outer peace: Multicultural respect
and friendship, the joy of an open heart, the inner balance of a meditative mind.

After Oliver Shanti had retired from the music business with his latest release "Alhambra",
(produced in 2001 and released by Warner Music), Shanti Records got the opportunity to keep
the great musical work of Oliver Shanti & Friends available for their fans and the music market.
